The perfect setting for all kinds of events

The toll castle dating from the 13th century sits on a rock to the northwest of the town of Mauterndorf in the province of Salzburg's lovely Lungau region. It houses a well-equipped conference and culture center.

The archbishops used the mighty edifice as a summer residence. Today meetings and conferences for up to 250 people are held in its Culture Hall. Special tours of the castle are an exciting way to kick off or end an event.

Until now a well-kept local secret:  enchanting, romantic weddings can be held at the castle's "Chapel of Our Lady."
